Rivers Police Confirm Death Of Jonathan’s Mother-In-Law, Minor In Ghastly Auto-Crash •First Lady Returns Home From Switzerland

The Rivers State police command has confirmed that the lady, who died in a ghastly auto crash along the Isiokpo-Elele Road on Monday around 4pm, is indeed Mrs. Charity Iwari-Oba (aka Sisi), the mother of Dame Patience Jonathan.

Confirming the death, State Police Public Relations Officer in Rivers, DSP Agnes Agabe also disclosed that one Miss Favour, a 12-year old girl, died on the spot while the driver and another unnamed occupant of the vehicle sustained various degrees of injuries and are currently receiving medical attention.
The remains of Madam Sisi has since been deposited at the Kpaima Mortuary in Elechi Beach, Mile One, Diobu, Port Harcourt, the State capital.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that the First Lady, who is in Geneva, Switzerland, on official engagements, is already on her way back to the country following news of the death of her mother yesterday evening.
