Show Proof Of Marriage To Ojukwu " - Ojukwu's Family - Bianca

"Show Proof Of Marriage To Ojukwu " - Ojukwu's Family - Bianca

Whilst the tussle over control of late Key Odimegwu Ojukwu's transportation business and his house rages, some memeber of the late warlord's household have asked his partner – Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, Nigeria's Ambassador to Spain, to provide proof of legal union to him.
The Ojukwu friends along side Ojukwu Transport Confined, in a 19 paragraph statement of defence submitted before Justice Funmilayo Atilade of a Lagos High Judge, also required proof that Bianca's two daughters, Afamefuna and Nwachukwu are scientific kiddies of the late warlord.
Continue after the break.

Bianca had on behalf of her son , pulled Prof. Joseph Ojukwu; Emmanuel Ojukwu; Lotanna Putalora Ojukwu; Dr. Patrick Ojukwu; Edward Ojukwu; Lota Akajiora Ojukwu and Mrs. Massey Udegbe prior to the court, seeking a declaration that her children are entitled to the possession and occupation of 29, Oyinkan Abayomi Block, Ikoyi before the harmonisation of the management and administration of the resources of OTL.
Bianca had through her lawyer, Frank Ezugwu, prayed the court to declare as illegal the threat of forceful ejection of her daughters from the property in dispute by the defendants.

She'd advised the court to declare that they are entitled to get 13, Hawksworth Path, Ikoyi (now 13 Ojora Road); 32A Professional Avenue, Yaba, Lagos; 30 Gerard Path, Ikoyi, and 30 McPherson Avenue, Ikoyi.
Bianca had explained that the defendants played no position through the period her daughters'dad (Ojukwu) struggled to obtain the above mentioned houses from their state government.
Thus, the claimants want an order of court restraining the defendants, their brokers or privies from interfering with their possession and get a control of the properties.

But the defendants through their lawyer, George Uwechue (SAN) averred that the subscribers of the Memorandum of Association of OTL (1st defendant) at incorporation in 1952 were L.P Ojukwu and Betram Chukwuemeka Obi, introducing that the late Ojukwu and one Prof. Joseph Ojukwu (2nd defendant) were later appointed as administrators in 1953.

They explained that the late Ojukwu ceased to be always a manager of the business before the Nigerian civil war and was reappointed as a director on December 16, 2005 while the next and fourth defendants were appointed administrators in 1954 and 2005 respectively.

N225m car scandal: Stella Oduah tells her own side of the story

Minister of Aviation Stella Oduah has responded to President Jonathan's query to her to explain her role in the purchase of the controversial N225million BMW armored cars. See her response below

Executive summary on the procurement of NCAA operational vehicles
“The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, is the statutory regulator of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Industry.
Consequently, the NCAA is charged with oversight responsibilities over all civil aviation operations in the country, including safety, security and strict compliance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, SARPs, and Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, NCARs.
2. Towards the effective implementation of its statutory regulatory responsibilities, therefore, it is imperative that the NCAA is fully equipped with highly specialised tools and facilities, including adequate operational vehicles to cover all 22 national airports and over 400 airstrips. In keeping with standard practice, provision is therefore made annually for the replacement of obsolete, inadequate & unreliable monitoring equipment.

3.In the 2013 budgetary appropriation, provision was made for the procurement of specialised equipment (including operational vehicles) to complement and in some cases replace obsolete ones.

Furthermore, the fact that NCAA, as the regulator of the industry, often plays host to dignitaries from ICAO, IATA, US FAA, AFRAA, AFCAC BAGASO, CANSO, ACI and a host of others makes it necessary to have specialised operational vehicles.

4.With regard to the procurement of additional operational vehicles (including BMW Security Vehicles), the following due process was observed:
(I) By letter dated April 15, 2013, NCAA officially requested authorisation from the Federal Ministry of Aviation to procure 56 operational vehicles through lease financing. This option was proposed to the ministry to enable the NCAA make 36 monthly payments based on receipts from Internally Generated Revenue, IGR.

The Ministry therefore granted due approval.
(ii)Based on the ministry’s approval, the NCAA invited Expressions of Interest from all Banks in Nigeria for the financing of the said vehicles. EOI was adopted because the procurement is two sided. First, the financier would have to be selected before the supplier is determined. This is in line with procurement best practices.
(iii) On May 24, 2013, the response received from the various banks to the Expression of Interest, EOI, request was opened publicly and minutes of the opening exercise was duly documented. During the EOI opening exercise, NCAA got commendation from one of the Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, approved by BPP who were invited for the opening exercise.
(iv)  The evaluation of the expression of interests was held on May 31, 2013 during which First Bank Plc, Union Bank Plc and Stanbic IBTC emerged most responsive. On the June 10, 2013 the above three banks were invited to submit Financial Proposals. Thereafter, First Bank emerged the highest rated responsive bidder.
(v)Between June 20 and 25, 2013, invoices were received from various accredited motor vehicle dealers during which only Coscharis Motors Limited quoted for BMW Security Vehicles.

(vi) On June  28, 2013, NCAA Parastatal Tenders Board approved the selection of First Bank Ltd for the Lease Financing as well as Metropolitan Motor Vehicles and Coscharis for the supply of the vehicles.  All  necessary approvals  were duly  sought  and  obtained accordingly.

(vii) Between  July 8, 2013 to August, 12, 2013 various meetings were held with First Bank Ltd, contract agreement was signed and necessary documentation executed.

Your Excellency is respectfully invited to note:
(i) The crucial statutory role of the NCAA in regulating civil aviation operations in the country, including safety, security and strict compliance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (NCARs).
(ii) The need for NCAA to be fully equipped with highly specialized tools and facilities (including operational vehicles) to enable the effective implementation of its statutory functions.
(iii) The procurement of specialized operational vehicles is duly provided for in the NCAA 2p 13 (IGR) Budget and the need for adopting instalmental lease payments over36rionths.
(iii) That Due Process was followed in the procurement of the said operational vehicles.

Please your Excellency my continued loyally and esteemed regards.
Princess Stella Adaeze Oduah, OON, Honourable Minister.

Prophet Caught Fondling Woman’s Private Part, Fakes Death

A prophet caught on Sunday afternoon fondling a protesting woman’s private parts in the middle of the bush along Plumtree road, feigned death to save himself from the wrath of assailants.
sexual_assaultAccording to one of the assailants, Ability Ngwenya, while taking to short-cut to a supermarket alongside his friends, they saw the 44-year-old prophet, Trevor “White” Shumba praying for 28-year-old Beatrice Nkala while fondling her br**sts.
“We were shocked to see such a thing happening and it angered us to think this is what happens to our wives when they go to these prophets for intercession. We stopped for a while to see what would happen next. That is when the woman was startled over what the so-called man of God was doing to her and started protesting,” he said.
Despite the woman’s protest, the prophet continued fondling her forcefully, so he and his friends rushed to save her.
They battered the man until he pretended to be dead. When the prophet heard they were planning to take him to the police station, he quickly got up and tried to escape but he was caught.
Ngwenya said they dragged the prophet to the police where he was arrested and after a stubborn denial of any offence, he admitted to have physically abused Nkala and other women as well.
The victim, Nkala told the police that she did not expect that from Shumba as he was a man of God.
“I have always respected Shumba as my prophet and I never expected he would act that way. He has disgraced our church name and I refuse to be a victim because I am a Christian woman. My body is God’s temple,” Nkala said, adding that if not for Ngwenya and his friends, only God knows what could have happened.
The police said the matter will be dealt with by the court of law as cases of women abuse and r*pe are on the rise.

Man Sues Store, NYPD After He Was Arrested for Buying a Belt

SUE
A young black man is suing the store Barneys and the NYPD after he was arrested following the purchase of a pricey belt.
Trayon Christian, 19, told the New York Post he saved money from a part-time job to buy a $350 belt by Italian designer Salvatore Ferragamo. But after he paid for the belt and left the store, he was arrested.
Christian alleges the clerk called police saying he had fraudulently purchased the belt.
Christian’s lawyer, Michael Palillo, told the newspaper even after Christian gave police his identification and proof he used his own money to purchase the belt, an officer said it wasn’t possible he could afford it.
“His only crime was being a young black man,” Palillo said.
Christian is suing the store and the police department for unspecified damages, the newspaper reported.
The lawsuit’s allegations haven’t been proven in court.

Meet Woman Who Lived In Tree For Two Years Because She Loved It

TREE
In the face of greedy men with chainsaws in their hands, not even the enduring giant Redwoods stand a chance. But Julia Hill, a young American environmentalist showed the entire world the battle for the preservation of Mother Nature’s wonders is not yet lost, after she spent an astounding 738 days high up in a 60 meter Redwood she named Luna, in a desperate attempt to save the ancient tree and the forest around it.
When she was 22, Julia Hill was involved in a freak car accident which left her with a fractured skull and unable to speak for a year. Once a career and money driven woman, she rethought her entire life and set out to explore the world. In 1997, one year after her accident, she finally found what she was looking for – a group of activists protesting against the destruction of a redwood forest in Northern California, which stretched for hundreds of kilometers. She was enchanted by the ancient trees and decided to join their cause. Courageous and determined, Julia volunteered to climb one of the tallest trees in the forest – a 1,500 year old redwood, hoping to stop the Maxxam Corporation, the operator of Pacific Lumber, from chopping it down.
Inexperienced, she managed to stay in the tree only for a few days at a time, which didn’t really impress the loggers or the media. Julia wanted to draw the atention of international media to the horrible deforestation that was taking place – a process called “clearcutting” which implied cutting trees of all ages and sizes and then burning the entire area in preparation for replanting new ones. She knew the only way to get people’s attention was to break the record for tree sitting which was 42 days. And that’s exactly what she did – after 100 days, Julia was all over the news giving interviews and educating people on the importance of saving these trees that have been here long before us.
As time went by, Julia – nicknamed “Butterfly”, was approached by celebrities who supported the cause, politicians who wanted to talk to her on her mobile phone and reporters who wanted to document her battle against the powerful corporation. She didn’t expect and didn’t want to be in the spotlight but accepted that it was her mission to pass on the message and share her knowledge about the ancient redwoods. The journey she embarked on was extremely difficult as she had to endure harsh weather conditions with constant wind, cold and rainy periods. Moreover, the staff from Pacific Lumber was making her stay with Luna even less bearable. It had been reported on many occasions that many protesters had been harassed and even harmed by the big companies’ workers who used pepper spray and other forceful methods to ward them off. Hill was no exception but Luna’s 60 meter height served as protection against the pestering loggers. Nonetheless, she was constantly tormented by the sound of snapping and falling trees. Fighting the loggers and loneliness at the same time, she soon got very attached to her only companion, Luna whom she now considered her friend. When talking about her experience with her tree friend, Hill said that it was like “living with an ancient being.”
During Julia’s famous tree sit, Pacific Lumber was very persistent, but not as persistent and determined as Hill who endured every obstacle coming her way for over two years. After 738 days, Julia finally put her feet on solid ground. “I was leaving the best teacher and friend I’ve ever had. Also, the person I’d been when I’d gone up and the person I was when I came down were so profoundly different that I wasn’t sure how I was going to be able to live in the world again. I hadn’t touched the ground for two years and eight days. When I set foot on the earth, there was a lot of emotion. There was extreme joy, because we’d protected the tree and the grove around it, which a lot of people had said was impossible. But there was also sadness. I had become so much a part of that tree, and it had become so much a part of me, that I wasn’t sure I would fit in with other people,” Julia said in an interview. “Though I left the tree, it’s still so much a part of who I am that I can just close my eyes and be in its branches all over again.”

Yemeni Father Burns Daughter Alive For Contacting Fiance Against Custom

Yemeni Father Burns Daughter Alive For Contacting Fiance Against Custom

YEMEN
A Yemeni father has burned his 15-year-old daughter to death for keeping in touch with her fiance, police said, sparking further outrage in Yemen, where an eight-year-old girl died from internal bleeding on her wedding night a month ago.
Police said a 35-year-old man had been arrested after the teenager’s death in a remote village in the central Taiz province.
“The father committed this heinous crime on the pretext that his daughter had been keeping contacts with her fiance,” the police website said on Tuesday, giving no further details.
Some local news websites reported that the father had caught the girl chatting by telephone with her fiance.
Traditional tribal customs in parts of Yemen prohibit contacts between men and women before marriage. Poverty and concern about “family honour” prompts many Yemenis to marry off their daughters young, often below the age of 18, a practice that has been criticised by international rights groups.
Yemeni authorities said last month they were investigating the death of the eight-year-old girl in northern Yemen, and that they would prosecute those responsible.

What Muslim Women Really Want In The Bedroom

Under the new law, women who wear face-covering Muslim veils in ‘public places’ in France face being fined £125 or ordered to follow citizenship classes, or both
muslim_sisters1
s*x is taboo subject for most Muslims. However, a growing number of young Muslim women are talking about what they really want when in the bedroom. Shelina Janmohamed, author of Love in a Headscarf, explains how women are leading the way in her faith when it comes to understanding se*uality.
Abdelaziz Aouragh runs an online s*x shop for Muslims. “We don’t sell products that simply enhance the love life between man and woman,” he explains. “All of our products provide a deeper meaning to se*uality, sensuality and even spirituality.”
His company El Asira, based in the Netherlands, offers products like “sensual silicone” and “glamour lotion.” All of his products are Halal.
“The majority of our customers are women,” he tells me. “With men there is too much bravado.”
I see this pattern often repeated of Muslim women leading their male counterparts in the discussion about se*uality and intimacy.
According to Islamic law, s*x is limited to between those who are married. But when it comes to exactly what you can do, and how s*x is generally discussed, Islam itself is quite open. s*x is of course for procreation, but it’s also for pleasure.
There are stories about how Prophet Muhammad would be approached in the mosque by women and men asking open questions about se*uality. In one famous tale, a woman came to see him on her wedding night, to complain her husband was too busy praying and hadn’t come near her. The Prophet went to see the husband, admonished him for being too engrossed in religious prayer and instructed him to, erm, pay more attention to his bride.
This openness has been lost over time, and discussions about s*x have become taboo. However, things are slowly changing.
Wedad Lootah is a UAE marriage counsellor who published an Arabic s*x guide, Top Secret: s*xual Guidance for Married Couples, on how to achieve s*xual intimacy with your partner, stating couples needed the advice. Her book was blessed by the mufti of the UAE. But she received intense criticism.
Wedad Lootah’s controversial book
Whilst engaged, my now husband and I attended a ‘pre-marriage’ seminar, one of the first of its kind in the UK. The one day training included an hour about s*x. It wasn’t very good, but nonetheless, I was pleased that the subject was raised and the taboo broken.
Jenny is an Irish Muslim organising a similar two part seminar for young women only, the first on marriage, the second on intimacy. “The girls don’t know what should be happening in their intimate lives,” she explains. “The men tell them to do X or Y, and they don’t know any better.” Jenny understands that her seminar is unusual, but her primary concern is that the young women receive this education, and criticism is kept at bay. For this reason, she asks I don’t quote her real name: “I’m sticking my neck out here.”
It’s not a s*x instruction class that she’ll be hosting. “We’re not telling them what goes where!” laughs Jenny. “But these girls need to know their rights in the bedroom.”
In the USA, controversial Muslim activist Asra Nomani has written an “Islamic Bill of Rights for Women in the Bedroom.” to ‘uphold women’s right to pleasure”. Nomani says she received negative feedback about the bill. But when I read about it I remember thinking, this is not in the least controversial or new for Islam. If anything it shows how little Muslims – even vocal ones – have knowledge about Islam’s un-guilty approach to s*x, or understand that Islam has always been extremely open about s*xual pleasure, and in particular women’s pleasure.
Yet, it’s undeniable that to talk about se*uality, especially as a woman, is difficult, and as a consequence I’m genuinely apprehensive about publishing this piece. But push on I will.
It’s a subject that needs to be openly addressed, precisely so that these contradictions can be unravelled.
There is a lack of research about the existing levels of s*xual knowledge among Muslims. How much do they know? Where do they gain their knowledge? And perhaps the most difficult to ask: what is the reality of how they conduct their s*xual lives?
A new chick-lit novel about to be published in the UK is called No s*x and The City and features a Muslim heroine. And last year in the US, an anthology of true courtship stories written by Muslim women was published delightfully entitled Love, Inshallah (God willing). Amongst the narratives there were those that were sexually explicit and spoke about s*x both inside and outside marriage. Whilst the book itself was extremely popular, its comparatively graphic nature drew positive feedback as well as criticism. But the more important point of both books is that Muslim women themselves are trying to open a discussion about se*uality, its role in their identity, and their fears and aspirations.
For those Muslims who want to live a chaste life, the pressures are immense. Our surroundings are notoriously sexualised. Virginity is seen as freakish. And rejection of ‘s*xual liberation’ is seen as backward. For teen Muslims, these challenges must be particularly difficult.
If contextually appropriate teachings are not available – whether at home, in the mosque or in other social settings – then the taboos about se*uality become entrenched, lead to diminished knowledge, and pleasure or even negativity about s*x.
So where should a young (or even old!) Muslim turn to for s*xual teachings that they feel are in line with an Islamic perspective. Courses like the one being run by Jenny are few and far between. And those willing to discuss matters openly are equally rare.
And to even begin such discussions, what is needed is a healthy dose of facing up to the fact that how Muslims live their lives is not necessarily the same as the Islamic ideals they aspire to.
A famous Islamic traditional teaching about s*xual pleasure says that when God created desire, He made it into ten parts. He gave nine parts to women, and just one to men. So it’s no wonder women are leaving men behind when it comes to trying to better understand their se*uality, as well as the relationship between their se*uality and their faith.

Shocking Story: Human Parts Dealer Goes Insane

Doose Nomhwange left home one morning, unaware that danger lurked ahead. Her friend of many years lured her to a man who traded in human parts. But fate pulled a fast one on her captor who, on the verge of killing her, became mad. Call it a demonstration of power between the forces of light and darkness in which the former roundly won.

Read the heartrending account of how this middle-aged widow went to hell and came back alive to tell her story.
Unforgettable Day
I had lived in Lagos where I had all my kids. But later, I lost my husband. Some time ago, I went back to Lagos to find what to do to take care of my two sets of twins. I was a full-time housewife when I had my children. I intended going back to school to further my education but my husband, an Ogoni, from Rivers State, stopped me because I was too young, and we agreed that I could go back to school when I finished having my babies. But later, things became tough because my husband was a businessman.
When he died, I had to return to Benue State because I was the firstborn of my parents and I didn’t want to take my children to Rivers State because Benue has more food. So, I returned to Lagos, and that was when I met a man. He owns an oil and gas company (name withheld) and he employed me personally as a marketer, canvassing for people who would buy oil, diesel, fuel and all that.
On this fateful day, I went to see my father who was ill and on admission at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan. There was something they needed for my father’s treatment and they didn’t have it in Ibadan. So, they wrote it down for me to buy and I went to Boluke Pharmacy on Awolowo Way in Ikeja. As soon as I walked out from the pharmacy because I lived at Ojodu Berger, I saw Aisha, a lady I had met long ago at the office of my cousin who was a stylist and we became friends.
The lady is from Igbira in Kogi State. She wanted us to talk about a supply contract she had. I suggested that we sat in an eatery on Allen Avenue, but she said there was a new eatery on Toyin Street where we could talk. There was a young man by her side that she introduced to me as her fiancé, adding that they were going to wed in two months’. We jumped into the young man’s car and they assured me that from the eatery, they would take the expressway, drop me and then go back to Ogba. When we got to that place, the man horned and the gate was opened. We saw a lot of cars outside because it was an estate. Inside the house, people sat with their girlfriends, drinking and eating. I didn’t know that they were members of a satanic group. My friend drank beer and after apologizing that she had no money to buy me wine, she gave me water.
Evil chief
At a stage, a man gorgeously dressed in native attire (names withheld), came in and walked to our table. A lot of them got up and greeted him. I also got up and greeted him. After a glance at me, he asked why I was not drinking and he bought Campari for me. He opened the bottle and I took a glass and because nobody was interested, I dropped the bottle in my bag.
After my discussion with the lady, I waited for them to drop me off as earlier agreed but the young man said he wanted to ease himself but never came back. After about 10 minutes, the lady, left in search of her fiancé, leaving her bag behind. After a long wait, I became worried and told the barman that I was leaving. As I walked towards the gate, the gateman shut it.
The chief shows up
When I turned, I saw the gorgeously dressed man walking towards the gate. I thanked him for the entertainment and told I was leaving. The man said: “Do you know who you are talking to? You are an idiot! Common, shut up! Don’t you know I am a chief?” Later, he said in Yoruba: “Omo Oba”, and some young men including two that looked like bouncers came. On his orders, they collected my handset and handbag, and took me upstairs.
So, they took me upstairs and flung me into one room and shut the door. Inside the room, I saw many clothes, bags and more than 1000 SIM cards. About 15 minutes later, the man appeared and ordered me to, “pull off everything and drop it there”, and I obeyed.
Unconscious
By then, I was no longer in full control of my senses. Before he came up, I prayed that if the man had been killing people, I should not be his victim. As a Christian, I understand that there is power in the tongue and I declared, “Right now as I sit here, let the blood of Jesus take over before they think about anything. I worship with Living Faith.
They removed my earrings
About seven boys were at the man’s beck and call. He didn’t touch you; all he did was give orders. He came back as I was still putting on my pants and brassiere and said: “Are you stupid? I said anything that represents a material on your body should be taken away. Why are you still with all these?” So, I removed everything and they took me to the next room and locked me up. Throughout that night, they jubilated and drank. Apparently, due to the glass of Campari that I took, I was very tired and having cried and prayed for long, I became weak, and slept off.
Angels to the rescue
I slept until 3am and that was when I regained consciousness and realized I was in a strange place. I prayed till after 4am and at about 5 am, the man came into the room and asked me, “Are you a witch?” and I said, “No sir.” Then, he said: “What have I done to you that you beat me all night long, and didn’t allow me to sleep?” It was a strange question for me to answer. I begged and told him that I had no strength to fight. He said, “shut up”, and slapped me.
You see, I strongly believe that this incident happened in order for me to believe in the power of God because I didn’t believe in miracles. When people said they received miracles, I just looked at them with disdain. But this time, I became a personal testimony. I begged the man and he started beating me. The way he punched me, if God was not by my side, even if I escaped, I would have died or needed a lot of money to fix my bones. But for each blow he hit me, I felt nothing. Each time he hit, and I shouted, “Jesus”, I felt as if someone had touched an empty carton. Then, he said if I had any prayer, I should pray because he was seriously going to work on me. He said he had worked on so many people by removing their private parts, eyes, tongues and other vital organs.
House of death
He told me that no one came to the house and escaped. Honestly, that house was designed for killing people. If God was not by your side, you can never escape from that house. Most times, the boys were downstairs drinking and smoking.
I socialized with them by asking for cigarette hoping that if I did what they were doing, they would set me free. If I requested for cigarette they would quickly bring cigarette for me. One day, I requested for food and they said in Yoruba that after all, it was my last food. It was rice and meat but I couldn’t eat it.
Day Two
On the second day, the boys argued among themselves in Yoruba and I could pick some meaning. They said: “Ah, kilode? Se this thing wey oga bring no be wahala o. We don tell oga make e leave her, make i go because oga no dey waste time. Anybody wey dem bring come na one day. One day don pass, two days don pass and still we don’t even know what the shrine is saying.” They consult a shrine to know a victim’s worth.
Day Three
On the third day, the man came to me and said: “What kind of hairstyle is this (I had a hairstyle called fishtail)? This hair is the one tormenting you. You are a very nice person. This hair is what is tormenting you. Don’t panic, they will remove this hair style, so that you can be free.”
They called me Samson
I heard them say in Yoruba, “Samson ni o”, that may be, I am Samson in the Bible. They suspected that they couldn’t kill me because I have the same powers as the biblical Samson. They threw a bedcover to me and told me to tie it so that they could take me downstairs.
The house was very large and people lived in the boys’ quarters with their families apparently, without knowing what the man did. Or maybe they knew but were scared? So, they took me downstairs to cut my hairs and as I stepped down, I saw that the gate was opened and then a Mallam pushed in a wheelbarrow with kegs of water. He was their barber but he came with water so that people would think he hawked water. As soon as they came in, some people started emptying the water inside the gutter and thereafter, they returned the gallons to the wheelbarrow and took me near the swimming pool, and I kept praying.
One good thing was that at that point, my faith had risen by 100 per cent and I knew for sure that I was not going to die because the Lord was with me. They made me sit on a chair by the swimming pool and the Mallam cut all my hair and dropped them on the ground. As he dropped the hair, I found out that in the past, some hairs were burnt on that spot. After cutting my hair, he shaved my head with a razor blade.
I don’t understand Hausa but on that day, this Spirit came upon me and I spoke Hausa to the Mallam. I asked him whether that was what the man does to people and he said I should not worry, that the man was a nice man, that he would give me money to go when I am ready to go. I asked why the haircut but before I could get an answer, the evil chief came out of the house and the Mallam quickly shut me up. By this time, more than 12 of the boys had surrounded me, watching as my hair was being cut. Later, they brought a small bowl containing some concoction.
I think they chanted some incantations inside it before the man said: “See, they have cut your hair; you can imagine how beautiful you look. Drink a little of this water, use the remaining to wash your head and go upstairs. I will give you your clothes to wear and then you will go home.” I dipped my hands inside that water and said, “God, because the blood of Jesus Christ supercedes every other blood and that is the only currency that binds everywhere in the world, let this currency in the blood of Jesus Christ buy my life now.” I prayed within my heart.
They ordered me to hurry up and do what they asked me to do. So, I drank a little of the liquid and washed my hair. They brought something like a detergent and said: “Wash your head very well. That is what is tormenting you.” After washing my hair, I sensed that I was about going mad, and they freed me. Maybe they wanted to make me mad. They told me to go upstairs, may be, to know if I could know the way out. I almost missed the way to the staircase because it was as if someone’s fingers were inside my brain.
By this time, I couldn’t keep my mouth shut. I shouted: “Jesus! I rebuke this madness in your name because you were never mad, so, I cannot be mad.” I said it loudly and they gave me a slap on my back calling me an idiot and warned me not to mention that name there. Upstairs, they kept another water in the bathroom of the room that I stayed before they moved me to the one was that looked like the master room.
There was a large cupboard where he kept his tools for operating on people. They then asked me to bathe with the water that also had some concoction. As soon as I got into that bathroom praying, the Holy Spirit ministered to me that I should throw away that water. I did so and prayed that the water should flow fast before they come.
This was about 6pm, I thought of what else I could do to convince them that I had had my bath. Then, another voice told me: “Ease yourself inside this container and use your urine to rob your body. In fact, bless that urine to be the blood of Jesus Christ and use it to rub your body and don’t dry up so that it will look as if you took your bath (there was a towel in that bathroom). When they come, they will think you have had your bath.” And because I had not eaten and drank, my urine was very little. But God gave me the grace.
Then I prayed into it and quickly rubbed it on my body and the remaining one, I sprinkled on his picture and everywhere. This time, I prayed and cried. So, before they came I had returned the bowl. The man looked at me, shook his head and left. After about an hour, he came back and said: “Who are you? Are you a witch? Why are you so difficult? And then he made a call. They have doctors. They had everybody.
By this hour, he told me bluntly that he had not killed me through poison because he was going to use my kidney to make more money. He would send my kidney for transplant while my body would be sold. He got angry and immediately called his doctor on the phone. He called one doctor James who now answered and he asked when he was going to come around because it appeared he was not on duty. Then, they fixed an appointment.
Miracle on Day four
On the fourth day, I didn’t know what their shrine said because my prayer was that when they go to that shrine, they should see the blood of Jesus Christ. I was sure they couldn’t consult because on this day, the man stormed that place in anger. He just opened the drawer and removed a shiny knife, showed it to me and said that anywhere the knife touched me, I would not live till the next day.
He was still talking when something strange happened. Suddenly, I saw the man fling off the knife, rolled on the ground, hit his head and ran out of the room. I wondered what must have happened to him. He came back later shouting, “Fire, fire”, increased the air conditioner and jumped into the bathroom, and started bathing. After bathing, he came, stood under the air conditioner, calling those boys but they were scared to come.
He would call, “Omo Oba” and they would answer and he would say, “Where are you? You are just saying sir, sir, without coming.” When they came, he told them to hold me but none of them came closer to me because at that stage, there was tension and they had not seen such a scenario before.
The man screamed and at a point, he held me by the neck demanding that I must quench the fire that was burning him. Then I told him: “Well, the only way that fire must be quenched is to allow me go. If you don’t allow me go, the fire has not yet started.” He said he would not give up, adding that he had never been defeated in his life. He mentioned his names (withheld) and titles to me and told me he would not allow me go because he would die if he did.
By this time, I began to praise God for visiting me and each time I shut my eyes, I saw angels surrounding me. At a point, the man knelt before me and asked: “Which God do you worship?” I told him that, “I worship Jehovah Almighty God, through His only begotten son that He gave for my sake, Jesus.” After this man had confessed, he and his boys ran away.
But I could not leave because the room they kept me had a burglary proof designed in such a way that if it is hooked outside, you can’t open it from within. I prayed, “God, I know that you have given me victory. But you need to do more. Someone needs to open this door for me to go out.” At about 10pm, the young man whom Aisha claimed was her fiancé appeared and opened the door for me. I gathered later that when the man found out that everybody had run out with him, he contacted him because he brought me and Aisha. In deed, the man threatened to kill him if he failed to take me away. So, the young man had no choice but to come and open the door for me.”
Surprisingly, he asked: “What did chief say you have done to him to deserve all these?” He threw his pyjamas to me and said: ‘Wear it; let me take you to the balcony. When people are asleep, I will open the gate for you to go.” At about 10pm, he left and never came back. At about 4am, as I was asleep, I heard a voice say, “Wake up. It is time”, and I jumped up.
I thought of using the pyjamas as a rope to climb down but as I pulled my clothes, I turned to my left and saw a strong pipe. Then I crossed my leg to the wall and holding the pipe, I climbed down the building. The maiguard was still there. Sensing that the maiguard was asleep, I climbed a nearby tree and crossed the fence to the other side, even though the security iron cut me on my stomach. At about 5 am, the gates were opened and I saw cars passing.
I walked to the expressway and stopped a motorcycle but the man looked at me as if I was mad and didn’t stop. I stopped three others but it was the fourth one that pitied me after hearing how I escaped death. He dropped me somewhere and gave me N50 with which I boarded a vehicle to Ojodu Berger. The conductor tried to stop me from boarding the bus, seeing the way I was, but I shoved him aside and with the backing of other passengers, I entered. When I eventually got home, my girlfriend rushed me to St Timothy’s Hospital at Ojodu where I was treated. Even at that, I was ill for months.

Malala Meets Queen Elizabeth At Buckingham Palace

malala-yousafzai
Malala Yousafzai continues her journey with world elites after surviving an assassination attempt by the Taliban. She spoke to the Queen about the importance of education when they met at Buckingham Palace.
The 16-year-old was shot in the head in Pakistan last October after campaigning for the right of girls to go to school without fear, in a part of the country where Islamic fundamentalists were trying to impose a strict form of Sharia law.
Malala was one of the guests at a reception for commonwealth, youth and education hosted by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on Friday.
She was reduced to laughter by a comment from the Duke, who quipped that in the UK, people want children to go to school to get them out of the house. Malala covered her face while in a fit of giggles at his joke.
The teenager, accompanied by her father Ziauddin, gave the Queen a copy of her book, I Am Malala, during their meeting in the palace’s White Drawing Room, telling her: “It is a great honour for me to be here, and I wanted to present you with this book.”
Accepting the gift, the Queen replied: “That’s very kind of you.”
Malala told the Queen she was passionate about every child having a right to an education, everywhere around the world.
She added: “Especially in this country as well.
“I have heard about many children that can’t go to school, and I want to continue our work.”
Ziauddin Yousafzai also spoke to the Queen and Duke about their past visits to his home country.
Malala was flown from Pakistan to the UK for emergency treatment after the attack. Surgeons who treated her said she came within inches of death when the bullet grazed her brain in the attack on a school bus.
She was treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and has now settled in the city with her family. Since the attack, she has addressed the United Nations and been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She also recently met US President Barrack Obama and his wife at the White House.
Princess Beatrice and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also present at the reception, attended by 350 guests from academic institutions around the world.

Saudi Arabia Rejects UN Security Council Seat

Saudi Arabia Rejects UN Security Council Seat

UN council
Saudi Arabia said on Friday it was declining its United Nations Security Council rotating seat, citing “double standards” that made it hard for the saying the 15-member body to end conflict and wars.
“The kingdom sees that the method and work mechanism and the double standards in the Security Council prevent it from properly shouldering its responsibilities towards world peace,” the foreign ministry said in a statement carried by state news agency SPA.
This, the ministry said, enabled Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime to perpetrate the killings of its people, including with chemical weapons, without facing any punishment.
The kingdom, which has backed the Syrian rebels in their struggle to topple Assad, has in the past criticised the international community for failing to halt the civil war in Syria, now in its third year.
It said it was unable to take its seat until reforms were introduced, but did not specify what reforms it wanted.
The highly coveted 15-member Security Council seats includes five permanent members with veto power – the US, Russia, China, Britain and France – and 10 nonpermanent members elected for two-year terms.

(PHOTOS) Nak*d Marriage: Couple Get Married Completely Unclad At Bizarre Wedding Ceremony In Newzealand

For most brides and grooms, deciding what to wear on the Big Day is one of the most important parts of wedding planning. But one New Zealand couple didn’t have to shop for wedding outfits — because they got married in the Unclad.

Nick and Wendy Lowe were married at the Wellington Naturist Club on Saturday in a “clothing optional” wedding, reported local newspaper The Dominion Post. About half of the 120 guests were Unclad. Both clothed and Unclad photos were taken, and though guests were asked to dress for dinner, the dancing portion of the event was clothing optional.
Nick encouraged Wendy to embrace the “naturism,” or nudist, lifestyle six years ago.
“It was one of the first things he said to me: ‘I’m a naturist, how do you feel about it?’ I knew at some point I’d have to at least try it,” Wendy said.

Wife of House of Reps Member Accused of ‘Messing Up’ 2 Women

Wife of a serving House of Representatives member was fingered yesterday in the torture, beating and alleged attempt to kidnap two ladies in Isale Eko area of Lagos.

Sources say that yesterday morning at about 7.15a.m, a Toyota Camry car which was used for the operation caused a stir in Bamgbose Street in Lagos Island at the heart of Lagos metropolis.
Like a bolt from the blue, six unidentified ladies, carrying canes came out of the unregistered grey coloured car and advanced towards No 101, Bamgbose Street.
The unmasked ladies met one Alhaja Basidat Ajadi Balogun, a business woman resident in the street and repeatedly flogged her as she wept. (The woman pictured above)
Balogun, who was shouting at the top of her voice while the beating was going on, tried without success to find out from the rampaging ladies why she was being beaten.
According to a resident of the street, who pleaded not to be mentioned, while the severe beating was going on, Alhaja Jolaade Batola, wife of an influencial legislator, a House of Representatives member, representing Mainland federal constituency, was seen seated, inside the unregistered Toyota Camry car and giving orders to the lady on what to do to their victim.
The Nigerian Compass on Saturday, further learnt that the rampaging ladies planned to take the business woman away but for her resistance. The boot of their Camry was thrown open, while the woman in the car ordered the ladies to drag the woman and throw her into the boot.
Independent checks at the Lion Building police command however showed that the matter has been reported there even as our correspondent on Friday traced the battered business woman to the General Hospital, who was receiving treatment.
Though she was initially reluctant to speak with The Nigerian Compass on Saturday, when she opened up, she said she was standing outside her resident, talking to a tenant, when the six ladies, unknown to her, accompanied, by Mrs Batola arrived the place and began to beat her up.
She however insisted that she does not know the reason why the ladies beat the hell out of her, insisting that she was not close to the wife of the House of Representatives member. “Though Alhaja Batola owns a shop on the same Bamgbose Street, we are not really close. Though I do greet her,” said the victim.
The woman whose body was full of scares from the beating put the cost of her medical treatment as well as some of jewelries she was wearing when she was attacked at N600,000, and confirmed that but for the residents, who mobilised and confronted the ladies, she could have been kidnapped.
Inquiries at the Lion Building police station, in Lagos Island revealed to our correspondent that the case have been filed. The woman was asked to get a police report on the incident, a police source disclosed.
Attempts made to see Alhaja Owolabi Batola for her comment on the incident proved abortive as her shop located on the same Bamgbose Street was not opened yesterday.

Woman Accidentally Texts Police Officer About Drug Deal

Jessie Mulligan allegedly texted a message to a narcotics detective offering drugs for sale.
Now she may have to trade in her cell phone for a jail cell.
Deputies in Nevada County, Calif., arrested Mulligan on Friday after she allegedly tried to arrange a drug deal with a friend through a text for fentanyl, an opiate similar to morphine.
The message was actually sent to a narcotics detective who decided to take her up on the offer and arranged a meeting, according to 14NewsOnline.com.
She was arrested and charged with three felony counts, according to Nevada County Sheriff’s Dept. spokesman Lt. Steven Tripp.
“She was surprised. She probably felt a little bit silly that she had contacted law enforcement,” Tripp said according to CBS Sacramento.
Tripp adds that the officers appreciated the tip.
“When we get calls from criminals saying, ‘Hey, do you want to buy something?’ and it happens to be stolen, or of a criminal nature, sure, absolutely it makes our job easier,” Tripp said.
Mulligan’s mistake isn’t the first time an alleged drug dealer was apprehended because of the wrong text.
Earlier this month, authorities in Sparta, N.J., arrested Nicholas Delear Jr., after a detective received a text from his phone saying he had a quarter pound of marijuana for sale and wanted to meet at a pizza parlor.
In May, 2012, police in Santa Maria, Calif., arrested 39-year-old Reymundo Carlos Escobedo after he mistakenly sent messages to a police officer offering to sell methamphetamines.

60 Year Old Jumps Into Neigbour’s Well Over Debt

well_99s
Tragedy struck yesterday at the Concord area of Oke-Omiru, Ilesa, Osun State when a 60-year-old man, who trades in building materials, committed suicide by jumping into a well.
The victim popularly known as ‘Sunre’ which translates to ‘sleep well,’ however refused to sleep well when he, in the early hours of Wednesday, took his life by jumping inside a well belonging to one of his neighbours.
The deceased, a resident of Adeti Street, Ilesa was said to have earlier attempted to jump into the well in his residence on October 15, but was stopped by his family members.
Sources say the deceased before his demise, had complained to his family that he owed a certain person in Abuja about N350,000 and he had been unable to raise the money to pay the debt but they had persuaded him not to do anything nasty, encouraging him that all would soon be well but he ignored their counsel.
It was gathered that Pa Sunre who is blessed with grown-up and well-to-do children had gone to the house of his neighbour on sallah day to felicitate with the family and it was while they were all having a good time that he sneaked out and jumped into the well.
It was learnt that a neighbour who went to the well at about 6am the following day to fetch water discovered his remains in the well and raised the alarm which attracted other residents in the neighbourhood to the scene.
Public relations officer of the Osun state police command, Folasade Odoro, who confirmed the development,  said a team of detectives led by the Divisional Police officer ‘A’ Division, Ilesa, quickly moved to the scene where the corpse was removed.

‘I Was Carried Away By The Aroma’, Housewife Caught Stealing Meat From Neighbour’s Pot

pot_of_meat

A housewife in Sapele, Delta State, identified as Oghenero (surname withheld), reportedly got her fingers burnt yesterday, when she allegedly attempted to steal a piece of meat from a neighbour’s soup pot.
It was reliably gathered that the woman, a mother of three, gained access to the soup after the neighbour who was preparing it left it on the fire unattended and went into her room to get her GSM phone which was ringing.
The light fingered housewife was said to have moved into the kitchen while the other woman was speaking with her caller but was caught by another neighbour who had been watching her movement from a distance.
Confirming the incident, the neighbour identified as Mrs Mouka Felicia, said the hot piece of meat fell from the thieving housewife’s mouth after she was slapped by her brother-in-law and she allegedly confessed to have been carried away by the aroma emitting from the pot of soup.
Family sources said the latest incident is not the first as the woman has been involved in several cases of petty stealing for which her husband threatened to send her packing.

We Are Responding Appropriately To Suits Filed By Deportees – Lagos Govt.

We Are Responding Appropriately To Suits Filed By Deportees – Lagos Govt.

deportees-300x182
The Government of Lagos State, yesterday said it is responding appropriately to the N1 billion and N20 million suits against it by some of the Igbo indigenes deported out of the state to Onitisha, Anambra State in July, 2013, adding that it had begun preparations toward the challenge in court.
Seven of the deportees, namely, Joseph Aniebonam, Osondu Mbuto, Osondu Agwu, Nnenna Ogbonna, Emily Okoroariri, Friday Ndukwe and Onyeka Ugwu sued on behalf of others, the Attorney-General, AG, of Lagos State and the Commissioner of Police and Lagos State Government to the tune of N1 billion.
Two other applicants namely: Osondu Agwuogo and Dandy Eze, through their counsel, Lekan Odunsi and Associates, sued the Executive Governor of Lagos State, AG and Commissioner for Justice as respondents for a N10 million each over damages they incurred through the illegal, forceful removal from Lagos State and infringement of fundamental right to freedom of movement.
The state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Ade Ipaye, while speaking with Vanguard on the suits, said the government was not moved by the suits as it would appropriately respond to the challenge.
Ipaye, confirmed that the state government had been served the court papers as government was ready to meet them in the court.
He, however, stressed that the suit could either be politically motivated or not, insisting that government was responding to it appropriately.
He explained: “We are not moved by the N1 billion suit. The suit could be politically motivated or not. We are going to respond to it as we have been served the court papers.”
Ipaye, also, added that the decision to transport the affected persons to their home state was based on their request after due consultation with their state of origin.
In his own reaction, the State Publicity Secretary, All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, said: “We will meet them in court,” noting that the suit was politically motivated as those deported could not have garnered the power to sue the government.
According to Igbokwe, those behind the lawsuit should also sue Peter Obi for deporting several Igbo indigenes in his state to Ebonyi State in 2011, as he accused the Anambra State Government of drumming up the issue because of the coming election. [Vanguard]
